Tecar Therapy

Tecar Therapy

Tecar Therapy, is a relatively recent therapy that has taken hold lately as it is remarkably useful in eliminating pain and inflammation in the joints, muscles and spine.

Tecar Therapy:  How it works,

Tecar therapy uses the principle of the condenser and is able to increase the vasodilation in the treated area, in this way there is a greater flow of blood and an increase in temperature from the inside. This concretely means that the body is helped and stimulated to self-heal on its own.
It is essentially an endogenous thermotherapy or a therapy that is based on heat, but the peculiarity lies precisely in the fact that the machinery is able to stimulate the production of internal heat in the body.
With the Tecar you can work in two different ways: capacitive and resistive. The first is used in case of soft tissue problems, such as muscles but also connective tissue, blood and lymphatic vessels. While the second is indicated in case the problem is deeper or in charge of harder tissues such as bones, cartilage or joints. Often, however, both methods are used during a treatment.

Increases vasodilation
• Increases heat from the inside
• Increases blood circulation
• Increases tissue oxygenation
• Stimulates the body to heal itself
• Stimulates lymphatic drainage
• It is an endogenous thermotherapy
• Depending on the problem you can
work in capacitive or resistive mode
• Stimulates the release of endorphin
    (and therefore acts on pain).

The difference offered by Tecar Therapy compared to other techniques in which the healing power of heat is used is that in this case it is generated directly inside the fabric and not conveyed from the outside to the inside.

Benefits of Tecar Therapy,
Tecar Therapy is able to accelerate the natural regenerative processes of the organism and in particular the cellular repairs, moreover it is able to reduce the pain with the advantage of speeding up the recovery from the trauma or from the problem that has affected the body.
The best results that are obtained with Tecar Therapy are in the treatment of problems in the spine, feet and hands, shoulders, ankles, knees or hip. Tecar is widely used in the treatment of athletes thanks to its particularly rapid results.
Tecar Therapy is able to:
• Help the regenerative
    processes of the body
• Reduce pain
• Speed up recovery after
    a trauma
• Treat problems in almost
     all parts of the body
• Help sportspeople.

How many treatments are necessary?
A session usually lasts a maximum of 30 minutes and it may be necessary, depending on the area to be treated and the acute or chronic situation, to make a cycle of 5-10 treatments. The benefits are noticed, however, from the first treatment.
If you're wondering if Tecar Therapy really works, the answer is yes! Naturally it must be performed by specialized personnel after assessing the situation of the person as a whole and establishing an appropriate therapeutic action plan.
The session is carried out like this: the patient is made to lie down on a couch after having taken off the clothes relative to the area to be treated. At this point the therapist affixes a gelatinous substance to the point of the body affected by the problem on which the mobile plate attached to the Tecar Therapy machine will be placed and the massage will begin, in which a great heat will immediately be felt.
At the end of the treatment the gelatinous substance is simply removed with paper.
 Advises:
• It takes place in sessions
    of maximum 30 minutes
• 5-10 treatment cycles are
    often expected
• It is carried out by
    specialized personnel
• It is part of a personalized
    treatment plan.

Contraindications of Tecar Therapy,
Tecar Therapy is a safe, non-invasive and suitable treatment for everyone since it does not present particular contraindications.
Not recommended only for pregnant women and those who wear pacemakers (unless they are their own doctor after evaluating the situation on the whole to recommend it).
Some attention must also be paid to those who are particularly sensitive to temperature.
The Tecar Therapy is therefore to be avoided (unless different medical evaluation) in few circumstances:
• pregnancy
• if you have a
    pacemaker
• if you are particularly
     sensitive to high
     temperatures.
